One of the most common questions people search online when it comes to using Twitch is how do you pop out the Twitch Chat?

Now there’s a number of reasons that you might want to do this. Whether it’s to make it easier to watch streams in full screen, or perhaps so that you can position the chat on a second monitor.

It’s very simple to do and it means that you can actually close the stream tab and still have access to the chat functionality.

To pop out Twitch chat, you do the following.

Step 1:

Open up the stream you wish to watch or your own stream if you’re streaming and want the chat in a second window.

Step 2:

Next to the chat box you will see a cog icon right next to the send button.

Step 3:

In the window that opens, the bottom option will allow you to pop out twitch chat into a separate window.

Note: Make sure that you’ve allowed popups from Twitch or this may not work.

And it really is as simple as that.

Nothing too complicated, but makes things quite a bit easier especially if you’re a streamer to keep up with the chat outside of the full stream.
